DESCRIPTION:🗑️ First Annual City of Jonesboro Trash War\nLet’s Clean Up Jonesboro—Together! \nThe City of Jonesboro is excited to announce the First Annual City of Jonesboro Trash War\, a fun and community-driven cleanup event designed to bring residents\, businesses\, and leaders together to keep our city clean and beautiful. \nWe are calling on stakeholders\, citizens\, business owners\, community groups\, and volunteers to join us for this friendly competition and day of service. \n📅 Event Details\nDate: Saturday\, March 7\, 2026 \nTime: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM \nLocation: City of Jonesboro (various rights-of-way) \nLight breakfast and lunch will be provided for all volunteers. \nHow It Works\n\n\nEach City Councilmember and the Mayor will lead a team of volunteers through assigned city rights-of-way. \n\n\nAll trash and litter collected by each team will be weighed at the end of the event. \n\n\nThe team that collects the most trash will be crowned the winner of the City of Jonesboro 2026 First Annual Trash War and receive a grand prize. \n\n\nSupplies Provided\nThe City of Jonesboro will supply: \n\n\nTrash bags \n\n\nSafety vests \n\n\nTrash pickers \n\n\nMasks (upon request) \n\n\n Get Involved\nThis is a great opportunity to serve the community\, meet your neighbors\, and show pride in our city. Get ready\, get set\, let’s get our teams together! \nCity Councilmembers and the Mayor are asked to submit the street names or areas we will be responsible for during the event. \nLet’s work together to make Jonesboro cleaner\, stronger\, and more connected—one bag of trash at a time!
