Let’s Clean Up Jonesboro—Together!

The City of Jonesboro is excited to announce the First Annual City of Jonesboro Trash War, a fun and community-driven cleanup event designed to bring residents, businesses, and leaders together to keep our city clean and beautiful.

We are calling on stakeholders, citizens, business owners, community groups, and volunteers to join us for this friendly competition and day of service.

📅 Event Details

Date: Saturday, March 7, 2026

Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Location: City of Jonesboro (various rights-of-way)

Light breakfast and lunch will be provided for all volunteers.

How It Works

• Each City Councilmember and the Mayor will lead a team of volunteers through assigned city rights-of-way.

• All trash and litter collected by each team will be weighed at the end of the event.

• The team that collects the most trash will be crowned the winner of the City of Jonesboro 2026 First Annual Trash War and receive a grand prize.

Supplies Provided

The City of Jonesboro will supply:

• Trash bags

• Safety vests

• Trash pickers

• Masks (upon request)

City Councilmembers and the Mayor are asked to submit the street names or areas we will be responsible for during the event.
